My Story

In the early 1980’s I arrived in Rotorua with little more than a car, two suitcases of clothes and a two year old daughter.

Determined to make a fresh start, I took a no-nonsense, proactive and practical approach to finding employment, and by the end of the first day I had a job.

I spent the next 10 years with Countrywide Bank, forging my career and developing wide networks and strong relationships in Rotorua and beyond. After meeting my husband, I spent the next 10 years in private business as Practice Manager and Director of Rotorua Precision Dental Laboratory, winning a major Customer Service Award along the way, and then spent time in the financial and insurance sector.

I have also spent most of the last few decades involved in voluntary work, particularly in relation to community activities and development through organisations like Rotary, Rotorua Special Olympics and Magic Moments.

My voluntary work is a big part of what I do, and who I am today. This, combined with my employment experience, has provided important learnings for me and helped formulate my thinking, philosophies and strategies that I now share with others.

Since 2002 I have taken these philosophies and strategies to conferences and workshops around New Zealand and the world, achieving fantastic successes for people along the way.

My purpose is Energising People and that’s my focus. Energising people to change their behaviours to achieve amazing results in their businesses, jobs and communities. Experience tells me that ‘People do business with People!’
